Delaware Speech-Language-Hearing Association
Welcome to the Delaware Speech, Language, and Hearing Association website! In 2014, DSHA will celebrate its 65th year of serving speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and our community. I would like to take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments of our organization. At its inception in 1950, DSHA was comprised of fifteen members and we now boast well over 250 members. Our current membership includes over 70% of all of the speech pathologists and audiologists in the state of Delaware. Over these last 65 years, dozens of Delaware speech pathologists and audiologists have made a difference by volunteering on our Executive Board, project committees, and making their voices heard at DSHA events.
Our organization has been instrumental in the development of legislation to regulate our licensure in the state. DSHA is proud to continue to offer quality CEU opportunities from nationally recognized speakers at a reasonable cost. We provide networking opportunities for our members to share and connect on a professional and personal level. Last, but certainly not least, DSHA dues are consistently some of the lowest dues in the nation.
DSHA is proud to serve the Delaware community. We value each and every member and welcome professionals, students, and community members to join and get involved! Please feel free to explore this website to learn more about our organization and to find a membership application. I encourage DSHA members to peruse the “members-only” section of the website for excellent clinical resources and networking information. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or for further information, and thank you for your interest in DSHA!
