Legislative Committee

The DSHA Legislative Committee monitors legislative activity at the state and national level, and stays current with issues being discussed by the Division of Professional Regulation.

AUGUST 2016 TELEPRACTICE UPDATE:  The Delaware Board of Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists, and Hearing Aid Dispensers has released their public report with changes to Delaware’s Rules and Regulations, specifically regarding Telepractice.

Please take time to review the notice (click on the link below) and review the following sections:

A public hearing will be held on September 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cannon Building (2nd floor conference room B). Address:  861 Silver Lake Boulevard, Dover, Delaware, 19904. Members of the public can offer comments at that time. Anyone wishing to submit written comments may forward these to the DE Board (at the above address) or to the Delaware Speech-Language Hearing Association (www.dsha.org – click on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner to email DSHA). The final date to receive written comments will be October 5, 2016, which is 15 days following the public hearing. The Board will deliberate on all of the public comment at its October 18th meeting, at which time it will determine whether to adopt the rules and regulations as proposed or make additional changes due to the public comment.
