Jamie Bradford, PT, DPT – The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

This course will cover the basics of dysarthria and modalities of treatment based on the current research. We will then segue into the benefits of improved breath support and control on speech intelligibility in patients with dysarthria. The remaining portion of the course will provide treatment ideas and suggestions for SLPs to use for improvement of posture and thereby breath support in their patients. The course will contain a PowerPoint with lecture, video clips, hands-on demonstration, and a case example. This presentation will contain relevant content for clinicians working with any age group across the lifespan, pediatric or adult.
